Throwback Thursday: A Groovy Roller Disco

Join the LA Skate Hunnies at Ivy Station for Summer Skate Nights every First Thursday all summer long. Our Roller Discos will be a monthly pop-up skate night with a DJ, Artisan Vendor Market, Adult Skate Rentals, Lessons, and other fun surprises! Skaters are welcome to stay on the plaza all night, or join an optional roll-out through historic downtown Culver City! The road roll out is not recommended for those who do not have experience road skating, but the organizers are available to talk through whether it is a good fit for your comfort level! Don't have skates, or want to learn how to skate? Skate lessons and rentals available-- check the agenda below for details! Information about the Hunnies Roll-Outs: This Skate Night is beginner friendly, but participants are expected to have control when skating and have basic skills to navigate road skating in a large group. Reach out to hello@laskatehunnies.com with any questions about route difficulty. Thursday Night Skate is a community meetup for primarily roller skaters and rollerbladers, but all wheels are welcome, and you'll often see cyclists and skateboarders join in on the fun! Participants will meet at Ivy Station to go out on a group ride around Culver City. The group passes through some of Culver City's most iconic landmarks, with lots of stops to dance, rest, or do whatever you'd like! The group will meet at LA Ale Works when the group ride ends around 9:30pm, and stay until close at 11:00pm. Liability release is REQUIRED to skate, and will be checked for each participant at the event. Please look out in your email for a link to complete the form, or get ahead and sign the liability waiver on their community app, Heylo! This is a free event with free parking validation upon request. Parking is available in the Ivy Station garage, with entrances on Venice Blvd and National Blvd. Check in with an event organizer to make sure you receive parking validation.
