The Education and Public Engagement team invites visitors to explore Stories of Cinema, the Academy Museum’s ongoing core exhibition that presents diverse, international, and complex stories of moviemakers and the works they create. Join museum educators on Friday afternoons to highlight the creativity of movie objects and moviemakers. In May, our Drop-In Tours will focus on the Age of Hollywood. Museum educators will spotlight and celebrate the history and progression of casting directors, filmmakers, and/or animators. Conversations with educators may also highlight costume design in front of and behind the camera. All are welcome to join this public drop-in style gallery conversation, free with admission, from 1pm to 3pm. Meet educators in the exhibition, on Level 2 in the Wanda Gallery, on Level 3 in the Rolex Gallery, or on Level 4 in the Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg Gallery. If you have any questions, or need assistance planning your visit, please email museumeducation@oscars.org.
