16-year old art sensation, Tex Hammond returns with a new body of work in his 5th solo exhibition, “THE ABSENCE OF…” “THE ABSENCE OF…” features a captivating mix of oil on canvas, works on paper, and paint on found materials by Tex Hammond, curated by Carmen Acosta. Hammond, is constantly exploring new techniques and expanding the horizons of figurative art. His ability to infuse contemporary elements into classic techniques sets him apart and allows him to create a style that is uniquely his own. The exhibition showcases many works on paper that are fully realized studies produced from Hammond's almost obsessive sketching, imbuing the pieces with a raw and intuitive energy.
