Grand Performances closes its summer season with a concert featuring Son Rompe Pera, Bloco Obini and QVLN. Son Rompe Pera brings a dance-oriented blend of cumbia and punk shaped around the traditional marimba, while Bloco Obini celebrates Afro-Brazilian drumming, dance and women’s creative strength within the African diaspora.QVLN, the stage name of Quetzal Guerrero, adds a genre-crossing presence as a musician, actor and composer. DJ Dave Salvaje provides Latin vinyl selections, combining classic tracks and rare grooves throughout the evening.
